No one will argue that a safety net that saves your life is a bad thing. It’s the safety nets that allow you to be comfortable, those are the ones to watch out for.
Maybe it’s moving back home after college to save some money, or allowing someone to carry you (professionally, emotionally, financially, literally) when you are quite capable of fending for yourself.
The purpose of the safety net is to break your fall so you don’t die. Let it catch you, if you must, but crawl out of it as soon as you can.
Sure, it’s comfy to lay in, but that comfort is a trap.
One day it will disappear, and you’ll realize how much ground you’ve lost.
